Photography
Although we work a lot with the moving image, we still get many requests for stills photography to accompany sales presentation videos. This can range from an hour or two in our studio for pack shot photography, to stills for animation and Photoshop work later, which eventually gets compiled into our video content.
Now we are very well equipped to do pretty much any sort of studio or location photography you can imagine, and even get the occasional request to shoot artists’ portfolios too!
Our stills kit comprises four Interfit remote flash heads, all on tripods. Two are fitted with soft boxes for even lighting of the background, making cut-outs in Photoshop a breeze. All the heads are triggered from our camera-mounted Nikon Speedlight, attached to our Nikon D700 full frame sensor (FX) SLR camera. The D700 is the more portable version of the D3X and produces wonderful results, with very natural skin tones in particular.
Our studio stills shoot packages start from as little as £25.00 per hour for a wet studio set up including photographer, and includes all your content being burnt to CD or DVD so you can walk away with it on the day.
We also have a wide variety of great backgrounds, from portrait ‘softs’, textures and clouds, to full black, peak white full shooting height infinity curves and chromakey blues and greens.
Whilst we are mainly focused on the digital field, we don’t rule out good analogue film too. 35mm or 120 roll film possesses a real analogue texture, and there are many advantages returning to good old proper film. It’s a bit like comparing music on vinyl to a CD! With this in mind, we have the ‘best in class’ Nikon F5 SLR: the last decent 35mm film camera that Nikon made. And with local developers only 15 minutes away, we can turn around your dev. and print to CD in around two hours.
So when you are shooting with TVB in video mode, there is no excuse not to grab your stills too, on the same day too.
